Changelog
Each release, newest first: what was Added, Changed, Fixed, Deprecated, Removed and anything about Security. Within 1.x nothing is removed and no option changes meaning; a change you need to act on is marked Action and has an Upgrading page.
1.1.0
Released 13 October 2026. Update the packages you use, e.g. npm install @lettrove/embed@1.1.0 @lettrove/react@1.1.0; no code changes are needed.
Added
- The assistant in the embedded editor. Your users can ask it to build or change the design they
have open and review each proposal before it is applied. It works on that design only, keeps no
conversation, and draws on your Lettrove credits. It is on wherever your project allows it; turn it
off for a project in Settings → Embed → AI, or on a page with
features: { ai: { assistant: false } }. See Features.
Changed
- The editor's frame carries a
sandboxattribute: everything the editor does, and never the power to navigate your page. @lettrove/noderefuses anapiUrlthat is nothttps, except localhost.- Improvements to security and reliability.
1.0.1
Released 12 October 2026. Improvements to security and reliability. No code changes are needed:
update the packages you use, e.g. npm install @lettrove/embed@1.0.1 @lettrove/node@1.0.1.
1.0.0
Released 11 October 2026. The first release of the embeddable Lettrove editor. Install it with
npm install @lettrove/embed (or @lettrove/react, @lettrove/vue); it works with live keys.
Added
- The editor in your page: @lettrove/embed (npm and a script tag), @lettrove/react and @lettrove/vue.
- Four modes: email, landing page, popup and document, each with its own renderer and downloads.
- Forms for landing pages and popups, handed to your page or posted to your URL.
- Every way out: HTML (whole or in chunks), plain text, PDF, PNG, ZIP and the design itself, from the page and from your server.
- Made for phones: every email, landing page and popup fits a screen 320px wide. A width set on a text, heading or image is the most it is drawn; on a phone it shrinks to fit, and columns stack.
- Merge tags with fallbacks, filled at export or left for your email service.
- Theming: light and dark tokens, your accent in both, panel docking, a live theme switch.
- White label: your product name and logo in the editor's bar, set in Settings → Embed.
- @lettrove/node: tokens, design lists and reads, exports, rendering a design you hold, erasure, and webhook verification.
- Webhooks:
design.saved,design.deleted,export.created,user.erased, signed and retried. - Your own image storage:
storage: { images: 'host' }and theimage:upload/image:listproviders — store uploads anywhere and return their address; Lettrove keeps none. - Your own design storage:
storage: { designs: 'host' }and thedesign:load/design:saveproviders — designs live only in your database, with revisions, retries and conflicts handled. When two people save the same design, the editor shows the newer one and lets your user choose. - AI image generation in the editor, on your Lettrove credits.
